Ghorman 6: Midnight Oil

“Sweet Dreams are made of this.” -Eurythmics

Sweet Dreams (Sucker Punch Edition)

It’s peak production over here at Experience Film. Editing through the night, if not dreaming about it… It’s working. Halleluja, it’s finally working. And the sound design is creeping into the daily workflow, which means we’re getting close. About a another month, and two more of these Ghorman installments oughta do it. Removed the letters from the Starship today, in favor of immersion over attempted satire… As my buddies say, ‘we’re cookin with gas now.’

Yes I’m firing away with AI tools, of all variety, while making a movie about destroying them—that’s the absurdity of this moment in history. Nothing as gratuitous as the banner image will appear in the movie, but how else are we gonna mashup Star Wars and Independence Day!?

{ Ghorman is the creative catalyst for Sucker Punch AΩ: Episode III, an epic movie mashup coming 11/05/2026 Everyone has an angel… Who whispers from our heart…. They can speak through any character we can imagine. They’ll shout through demons if they have to. Daring us, challenging us to fight. }

    1. I just listened to the soundtrack the other day! Honestly I like the Oscar Isaac/Carla Gugino version of “Love is the Drug” almost as much as the original. Don’t tell my wife.

  1. With that video clip, you talk through my “aged language.” Excellent!
    I’m so happy that you’ve successfully found your way.
    Don’t stop now! 🤗🫵🖖👏

    1. According to Wookiepedia, Ghorman was first introduced as a Star Wars locale in the early 90s, so I’ll bet writers were inspired by Aliens!

      It was first mentioned in Stars Wars Expanded Universe fiction. Wookie also says Ghorman was featured in the 1993 PC game: Star Wars: X-Wing, which I remember playing with a joystick! But I wouldn’t have recognized the name.

  2. So close! Congrats on seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! Something funny: your buddies say now we’re cooking with gas? So did my grandma! She lived to 103. Can’t believe that expression came back around! lol

    1. Close indeed🤞 I thought about consulting you for Terminator / ADR advice— am dubbing over a few of Dr. Silberman’s and Sarah’s lines in T2 with AI voice clone. But I’ve spent so many damn hours mulling it over, trying to get the lines right, that I thought it too much to ask… Am finally happy with it. The “delusional architecture” remains faithful to Sarah’s character, with focus on the threat of the Terminator machines, while also introducing a few more modern conspiracy theories to her belief system, which are going to foretell the Big Catalyst Event circa Timestamp: ~25:00.

      1. Ooh! I don’t know if I could actually have helped, but thanks for thinking of me. Omg omg omg, it really sounds crazy good ! ! ! November is gonna ROCK, lol !!!!
