Sadness Movie Characters

Sadness – Sense of sympathy, sorrow, grief, despair. Facilitates social bonding, processes traumatic experience. Mourns the loss of relationship, life or vitality.

We can all experience Sadness. However, some characters seem to experience the emotion so routinely that it dictates their personality and behavior. The famed mythologist, Joseph Campbell, said that Step #1 in The Hero’s Journey is The Call to Adventure. The caller, of course, is The Universe, and it wants the hero to undergo a transformative experience of some kind. But the hero must pick up the phone in order for the journey to commence. New Inside Out Scoring System (Suggestions Welcome!)

Oi! Can I get some help over here? So you may have noticed the new little emotion characters at the bottom of each EFC post (I know what you’re thinking – cute, right? 🙄). And if you’ve seen Pixar’s Inside Out, or if you’ve read my Frozen Inside Out post, then you probably have at least some idea what they mean. Here I’ll explain their significance in full.
