  1. Fantastic work EF! You have reminded me of so many films I’d forgotten I’d seen! And thanks for BOTH nods to Star Wars. I know you added R2-D2 for the obvious connection but you also had Debbie Reynolds, mother of Carrie “Princess Leia” Fisher dancing in “Singing in the Rain” That was clever!

    1. Thank you so much, Master Tyeth. I poured my heart and soul into this. I’m glad it reminded you of some long-lost films! And Yes indeed! A very astute observation you have made of Debbie Reynolds being mother to Carrie Fisher. Now if I was REALLY clever I would have put her side by side with the Star Wars clip.

When creating this, I found that the music and lyrics really dictated which movies/clips I could use, and also where I could place them. This is why I had failed to place Jar Jar Binks (I Just couldn’t seem to match the right scene with the right lyric). In general this was both a blessing and a curse. The song guided my thought process, and restricted my artistic choices down to a more manageable range. But it also prevented me from doing some things I wanted to do.

Thanks so much for watching and commenting! And you can bet there will be plenty of more Star Wars in future videos!

      1. You did brilliantly and it’s great to see talent at work. On a slightly similar theme I was challenged by the members of an online forum to come up with a series of memes based on Star Wars but with a twist. The twist was that they had to be viewable in time with a backing track of music to form a sort of Karaoke video! I somehow how managed to do this twice, once using Bohemian Rhapsody and the second time to the music of “BAD!” by Michael Jackson. So I had to find suitable pictures to add captions to and make sure they fitted with the tune I was working on. I nearly went mad (as did my neighbours as I had to repeat play the footage over and over for testing).

      2. Now that’s a great twist! I can certainly relate to the madness. And I don’t know of any other way to successfully sync up the footage with the music other than to just replay it again and again and AGAIN until you edit it just right. There were portions of this video I edited dozens, maybe even hundreds of times.

Lolol imagining your neighbors listening to Bohemian Rhapsody lyrics on repeat. I caught myself doing this (editing acoustically) in my apt. a couple times as I was making this and switched back to headphones for the same reason πŸ˜‚
