Down with the flu and just took a shower so heavenly, getting out felt like the angels calling time on visiting hours with my childhood dog.

I realize I’m tempting Jigsaw when I say things like, “I hate Christmas,” but God needs counterweights. When Who-Ville goes manic, the Grinch gets cold like cellar bones neath a House of Usher.
Might’ve scared Mother this year when I woke up slamming doors on Christmas morning, frustrated that someone had poured quickcrete down my spine the night before.

Then, the breakthrough. I found the new Beetlejuice on their HBO. Watching Monica Bellucci staple her fucking face back together via Bee Gees montage restored the wonder. I offered to cook breakfast.
Thursday, my Dad and I went to see the new Bob Dylan movie, A Complete Unknown. So much a fan of Timothy Chalamet’s performance was I, Dune Part 2 was a must-watch afterward. And the snowball is rolling, people.
Fresh ideas tonight for Part 2. Forget the pastel leg warmers I hadn’t mentioned. We’re going dark. Sucker Punch is above all, a gut-wrenching tragedy. Not jazzercise class.
…”I really need this job. Oh God I need this job. I’ve got to get this job!” (for real though)

I hope you’re rid of the flu sooner than expected. There can certainly be less fun things about Christmas. But, a true highlight is all the beautiful Christmas lights, especially in central London. They have a way of plastering a smile on my face whether I want one there or not. 😁🤩

I have to say, your life is anything but boring! 😅
I hope you’re feeling better and of course good luck with the job hunting!

No montages without a little drama in the real life… This is where the self-sabotage comes in. Or at least, that’s my theory Lol… I have good job lined up, but I don’t want to jinx it. So more on that later.

Hope you feel better. I’ve been dealing with lower back pain for the last week, but I still had a nice Christmas. Glad to hear you liked Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

The back pain is here to stay, I’m afraid. Be mindful of posture and and stretch daily.

Experience Film, I don’t even know your first name. It isn’t fair that you know me as Greg and I know you as… a cipher. Can you tell me your real first name?
Also… would you ever like to move to a new city to pursue your dream of filmmaking? Because I plan on having a movie-making company here in Vancouver, Canada where I live.
(Keep commenting at my site; I really appreciate it.)

It’s an inspiring thought. Vancouver sounds lovely. But I have commitments; namely my younger sister who has special needs… I once moved to Denver CO to pursue my dream. And it was indeed a dream, for a time… Ask me again when I’m not having a full-blown identity crisis. Love, EF

Bring her with you. I’ll be frank, Experience Film: your passion is what draws me to you. I think you’d make an excellent cinematographer or director. And you write comments at my site which are not only appreciated, but of top-notch quality. I have a feel for who you are. You also aren’t turned off by my unorthodox side, shall we say. I think we could work well together. There’s a lot of money to be made in film, and most films suck ass. Screenplays are much easier to write than novels are. It’s cheap to hire unknown actors and pay them peanuts. We’ll talk more of this in the future. I’m still relatively screwed right now, and have to get myself on a paying basis.
P.S. I still want to know your name.

It’s Jason (Offers hand) At least now it’s buried in the sub-comments, read by only 2%. I much prefer you use the cypher here. This is my happy place, my escape. Happy New Year, my friend. And thanks for the comment. I love your site.

Yes it was on one of the live TV channels. Best thing I’ve seen on there lately so don’t rush.

I love ‘Sucker Punch’; so in awe of it; I will probably see the new Dylan movie to see how the star performs and. of course, to hear the songs again. Good luck with the project

So glad you’re feeling better. And you’re right about lower back pain. We were never meant to stand upright. That’s where all our problems stem from, I think, physical AND emotional! lol 🙂

Standing ‘upright’ is at least preferable to how ‘I’ stand (imitates a willow)😅

I got bronchitis a couple of weeks before Christmas and the cough still lingers to this day! Hope your flu wasn’t too bad.
Cool that you saw A Complete Unknown with your dad. Chalamet actually visited Minneapolis as part of his press tour so he introduced the movie and did Q&A afterwards, it was cool!

Reading this weeks after you posted so won’t comment on the topical stuff, but so many great costumes in the movie. Definitely need to try some for next Halloween.
