ON TIME

Final (4k) render is happening as we speak. Face/Off was finished under “least-ideal” conditions because of a recent family emergency that thrust EF into the role of full-time caretaker for my sister who has special needs.

Fortunately, this project was about 98% complete when I received the call of duty last week, which means we are on schedule. Knocking out that boss battle in September made all the difference. And at this point in my life I know better than to take credit for the win. Fortune is ‘in my favor,’ at least for the moment.

The big premiere is this Friday, October 11. But you know, there are usually showtimes the evening before… Hope you tune in, whenever. “I can tell you without ego, this is (EF’s) finest sword.” (…Except I did misspell “Hattori Hanzō” in the end credits and I’m not fixing it. Pshht😂)

*Update: (“A FEW HOURS LATER…”) The Universe must have interpreted this post as show-boating and decided to ruin EF’s day with a horrifyingly glitchy render of Part 2 out of Premiere Pro🤨 Whyyyy…

  1. Hi EF, you need to chat with my friend Percy Vere, he has many strategies for dealing with problems. He’ll probably tell you to carry on regardless of how things look now and things will turn out well!

    1. Percy rings a bell. Is that his username? Is it an anime reference?.. I’ve been troubleshooting the computer problem today and am fairly certain I found the problem/solution – Differing Frame Rates, between video files on the same timeline. Fortunately, there’s an ingenious workaround for matching them together ad hoc. I am quite spoiled to be making these videos in the time of such user-friendly software like Adobe Premiere… I believe the project is saved🤞

      1. I feel spoilt the same way with Blender 3D for my computer aided designing. It also has a basic video editing suite built in too which I’ve used in the past for my animations – though it’s nowhere near Adobe. (I couldn’t afford the Adobe license to be honest!)

      2. It’s good to learn about Blender 3D through your work – I would have never known the glorious MARVEL banner was invented there. And I love how you utilize its video capabilities for the occasional animation!

      3. Yes those are great alternatives! Fortunately, I found the problem/solution – Differing Frame Rates, between video files on the same timeline… Now to fixing the audio glitch that just occurred😑 …So close🤞

  2. I’m pulling for you to get out of Glitch Gulch!

It’s a small crummy town, surrounded by worn out boots and old editions of Mad magazine.

Try not to lose your mind!
