hilarious: whatever happened to Jim Carrey ?
In a roundtable discussion Carrey got emotional telling how in the late 90s Siskel & Ebert devoted a full show to celebrating him, after they had written poorly about him in his early career. They said they just weren’t ready for his talent. I don’t think any of us were… He entered his dramatic phase with Truman Show and Man On The Moon and then had his mid-life crisis, became very spiritual… And now I think he’s grown his hair out and it looks awful. But who cares at this point. What a force😄

I still think that this movie (along with The Mask) showcase the absolute best of Jim Carrey in his 90s releases. It demonstrates his comedic skills beautifully and how zany he can be and this movie has one most quotable lines ever.

Hahaha Jim Carrey is the GOAT. That movie is a highlight reel. Certainly one of my fav scenes is “the pen is blue”
