There is a moment in every chess game where the final outcome is deemed imminent. Black or White will win. The ship will sink. The best players see it before everyone else, same as moves. That is why one of the truest tells of a good player is how quickly they resign.

It’s hard to imagine a more lucid depiction of reality or unreality (whatever the hell we’re supposed to call it) in the 21st century. This film has got everything going on. Upon 1st viewing I hereby pledge to see it again and again. Up? Down? I’ll look wherever the hell you want me to Mr. McKay. Nuff said E.F.

What Kind of Writer Are You?

There are only 2 ways of writing, essentially. You’re either Objective, or Subjective. For example, “The Lion King is a Disney animated feature that follows the adventures of the young lion Simba…”(Objective). Vs. “The Lion King changed my life. Thereafter my life’s purpose was to work on animated motion pictures…” (Subjective). See the difference? It’s hard to do both.
