Comedy Central Crashout

“When fortune smiles on something as violent and ugly as revenge, it seems proof like no other, that not only does God exist, you’re doing his will.” -Black Mamba

They say not all heroes wear capes. And apart from our neighborhood watchmen, the closest thing we have to a real-life Superman right now (July 2025) might be John Stewart and a sock puppet. The orange man made his bed with Satan. But we already knew that.

To anyone cramming their rage ever further down the spring-loaded psychic catapult, the past two weeks of late night comedy have been welcome relief. Here are a few highlights.

South Park creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone signing a 1.5 Billion Dollar deal with Paramount and then turning around the following week and using the predatory parent company as a human legal shield for the backlash, might be the greatest power move of all time. But that’s just the C-plot in this uplifting story. They used AI to spite him the day after his executive order protecting AI. That’s right, the first episode of the new season, “The Sermon On The Mount” is a direct hit on the POTUS and an instant karmic classic. The Saga continues Wednesday Aug 6th.

Elmo’s Crashout

Daily Show Elmo

John Stewart ad-libbing an unhinged Elmo sock puppet proclaiming death to juice is yet another check on the list of things I never thought I’d see – Right next to it becoming illegal to criticize a foreign country in The United States of America. Alas, this is not business as usual. For anyone with half a heart, the past 21 months have felt like being trapped in a schoolyard with runaway rocket powered lawnmower. For the people of Gaza this is no metaphor. At least these brilliant comedy sketches took my mind off it for a few days, and put bags under the eyes of a pederast and forced him to leave the country. A true reminder that the pen is mightier than the sword.

Have a good weekend!

    1. Yes, you may have also heard The Tonight Show on CBS (used to be hosted by David Letterman for decades) is shutting down permanently. Basically at the request of the POTUS. Paramount owns Comedy Central and CBS broadcasting, among many other networks / channels. And Paramount was acquired by an even larger corporation, “Skydance” 07/04/24. I believe this This acquisition is pending approval still. But Skydance is owned by Larry Ellison (son of David Ellison). Larry Ellison also own the AI tech monitoring company, “Oracle.” Oracle now monitors all US based users of the social media platform, TikTok. Larry Ellison is a close ally to Trump and is implementing mass censorship on Public media and online social media. Pure corruption.

      1. I’ve heard most of this, but I’m not familiar with all the details and behind-the-scenes machinations. I know Skydance from their animation branch (which hired famous John Lasseter after allegations of sexual misconduct at Pixar), but it sounds like the umbrella company quickly became a huge player. Reminds me a bit of DreamWorks from back in the day… I have to look into it to understand how it came about.

  1. The pen is mightier than the sword. True words, my wise friend. Your eyes are open! After I saw that pick with the demon, I said to myself: Look! When one is unaware of their demon, it begins to grow incredibly large!! 😁🖖🫵

  2. I would expect nothing less from the South Park guys, men who received death threats over their depiction of Muhammad and had Scientology after them for years. Huge cajones. Comedy should not be edited. I love them.

  3. I luv laughing at your felon, sex offender, possible pedophile president, but I worry the damage he’s done will take a long time to repair.

The wheels are so in motion, he doesn’t have to be alive for them to keep on keeping on.

I did chuckle loudly, thank you, EF!

  4. OK, I never watched Southpark until this season. I laugh so hard, my husband rushes into the room and asks me what is so funny. You have to see it to believe it, right?

We live in insane times and laughter is the best medicine!
