One question. The night effect was done purely with filters?

The night was real, as filmed. I just upped the contrast and saturation a bit… The Gogo fight in Face/Off Part 2, on the other hand, was obviously faked with filters and such, but that was easier because A) it’s inside and B) there’s less motion in the scene. Because of course anytime a subject moves, the light source has to hit them differently (to be believed) so it’s tedious. Turning broad daylight to night is hard. The editor cannot remove the Sun from the sky. Not this editor at least lol

That’s some impressive skating! To a certain extent, the rink reminds me of a nicer and much much larger version of the one the fire department used to make in the park at the bottom of our street, when they would plow a section flat and then spray their hoses all over it to freeze it. You could go down there any time of the day or night and skate amongst the huge snowbanks. Obviously they don’t do that anymore, because liability, plus it probably wouldn’t stay frozen properly all winter these days …
