Hanzō’s Curse (Part 2)

Hanzo’s. Curse.

Update (10/11/24 @12:30pm) – EF is still correcting sync issues. Making significant progress. Stay tuned! (Update 10/11/24 @2:00pm (Very hesitant to say this, but I think the issues are fixed🤞) Head over there now to watch EF’s New Movie!

The early premiere crashed and burned. Marred by synchronization problems throughout the entire episode. EF continues to dig himself into an ever deeper hole of paranoia and despair, as his family plays him the world’s smallest sympathy violin. I have noticeable bags under my eyes. And must acknowledge that part of the problem I’m having syncing this correctly is my own exhaustion and hence, poor perception and judgment.

The short answer is – this is going to take some time to sort out, to fix (update 10/11 @1:50pm – sync improved significantly.) Thanks so much to all of you who took the time to watch, and comment. It pains me to tell you, you watched a tainted and cursed version. To give you some idea of the sorcery, I had to skew the local video file out of sync *13* frames (60ps) behind it’s local audio file, so that it would be in-sync when uploaded to the web – which sounds 100% insane. And it is (was)… And it didn’t exactly work, obviously. However, I can assure you it is a much better sync than the original web upload.

I guess I’m going to leave the video links up, because who knows when or if this will ever be fixed. (It’s… watchable) And I think I can improve it slightly, for now. However, I must rescind my comment that this is EF’s “sharpest sword” and hang my head in disappointment. Learn my lesson from the Gods. I do after all, stand on the shoulders of more accomplished filmmakers and technicians.

Fuck.

  1. Part 2 is fantastic. You grew into a master editor! I did expect it to be a bit longer, but I got distracted by the running time and didn’t of the credits. You really show respect to the directors, editors and actors. I’ll rewatch it as well as some of the movies on top of the ones I have not seen yet.

    1. Because Bruce Lee is in this, and You (were supposed to be) I knew I needed to bring my best!.. You only get one chance at a ‘Dragon Entrance’ – this was the shot I took. Thank you so much for watching and for the kind words. If it is not already clear, you are a very great influence, Master Uri👊🥋🙏🏼

  2. Hi EF, yes don’t worry….I’m never 100% happy with my projects either. It is that drive of “What could I have done better?” that keeps pushing me to rebuild past projects. I either develop new skills or get new software to design with, or just see things from a “Different point of view” that triggers disappointment at first but then determination to “do better”. In fact after our collaboration with your EF KaTRONA saber I have returned to an old design from 2017 and have re-vamped it in a BIG way (so stay tuned for that).
People who saw the original 2017 version liked it so hopefully they’ll love the update as much. Even if just one person likes your creation then you will have succeeded…so continue on with your creative journey!

    1. No doubt I learned a ton from this aggravating experience. I haven’t even processed it yet, but when the dust settles I’ll work out and write down what was learned. And with any luck, avoid this next time!… Excited about your 2017 design revamp! Is it a Katana? I agree with one person liking = a win. I actually shared this same sentiment with another blogger… Philosophically, there’s not too much difference between one and one million, which is great news for independent artists like us. I’m sure master Yoda would have something to say about this🙂
