“My ally is the force. And a powerful ally it is. Life creates it, makes it grow. It’s energy surounds us, and binds us. Luminous beings are we! Not this crude matter. You must feel the force around you. Between you, me, the tree, the rock. Everywhere.”
-Yoda (The Empire Strikes Back)
The people who understand The Force best never seem to discuss it; they see no need. They are your folks who are always beaming at you from behind a golden sun tan. It’s the space cadets like myself who require the explanation.

Yesterday while practicing Tai Chi I felt The Force between my palms which had become repellent magnets to one another. I am officially in awe of the martial arts practice. It is transformative, restorative, energizing and calming all at the same time. And no sweat required which is the best part. I am grateful for friends here who have inspired me to improve in the area of mind-body connection and awareness🙏🏼
To be called “down to earth” is high praise in my tribe. It means being humble, communal, friendly and accessible. My father, grandfather, best friend, and niece are all Earth signs. They have time and again helped EF off of ET’s spaceship – to his benefit, if not his reluctance☺️

Tai-Chi is a great way to quiet your mind and open yourself to the Force. Strangely though, I haven’t needed Tai-Chi as the Force has been in my life for over 40 years now. I guess it’s what awoke
my interest in saber designing. But remember never take the easy option in life, the Force requires work as taking the quick and easy path can lead to the darkside! MTFBWY

Thank you, Master Qui-Gon FT! Always illuminating more of the mysteries of The Force for me and others to see. And may I remind that it was you who shared Yoda’s quote with me a few years back, which I also share today. Your influence is great indeed🙏🏼🟢🐲

“Lukewarm” 😂😂😂
These days I can’t see “Welcome to Earth” without hearing it in Will Smith’s voice (kind of as “Welcome to Erf!!!”) followed by the sound of him punching out an alien …

I very nearly included that scene here, but then I decided it was too menacing. Def heard his voice as I titled it though – See Will was still in Character at the Oscars😁😅

I felt the energy here. May we all be able to draw upon The Force as needed!

I never studied Thai Chi but I have experienced the energy of the magnetic force between the palms – when you focus on the energy between it feels like your squeezing a magnetic sponge – bit more tougher than a sponge but you feel the energy of condensed pressure. Crazy. Reminds me of the phrase energy goes where attention flows

“Like squeezing a magnetic sponge” Yes I think that is a great metaphor for the sensation. Cool that you have felt it too!⚡️

First, I (among the others) have the honour to inspire you or, better to say, kick your hidden suppressed talent out of your head!? Thank you, mate, anyway, and of course, May The Force Be With You, EF.🖖🤙🤗

Love this post and that photo from Gravity!! I agree w/ you that being called ‘down to earth’ is indeed a compliment, humility is something I am learning to be better at as I grow older.

Haha You are very talented! I am sure you have encountered your share of nay-sayers… I have been called both too kind and too conscientious for my own good. Yes I am a fan of humility, and I must practice it – but I am also a big fan of taking the shot when you have a hot hand⭐️

The Force is just a great metaphor open to interpretation. No need for explanation in my opinion. May the force be with you!

Your very comment adds depth to the interpretation. So great. And also with you, my friend.

Nice. I have not heard that Yoda joke! 😀
Also the Predator reference is a nice touch.
I’m so glad you found martial art that speaks to you. That grounds you, which is the most fundamental aspect of any martial art. And of course brings you calm and focus while invigorating your body. Oss!

Many thanks, Master Uri! Thank you for inspiring me with your own Martial Arts journey, with Karate in particular. I envision myself exploring other forms of MA besides Tai Chi in the future. I am eager to learn the basics of Karate as well. Yes, for now the Tai Chi is a great fit for me, to help me heal my body and bring calm and focus to my crazy monkey mind. Have a great weekend, my friend👊🏼🥋🙏🏼

This reminds of the first two sentences of the Dao De Jing which goes like:
道可道,非常道。名可名,非常名。
What does it mean? Many people have their own interpretations, but it goes something along the lines of “The Way which is known as the Way, is not truly the Way. The name which is known as the name, is truly not the name.”
It doesn’t make sense when one reads those lines, but it does more and more when one practices meditation and (in your case) tai chi.
Keep it up!

I recently obtained a translation of the Dao De Jing from my local library. I love it! I resonate with Lao Tzu’s philosophy. And I value the “bite-sized” nuggets of information. So concise. I have the audiobook on hold and I will keep reading it / listening to it again and again… Thanks so much for your great comments, and for the encouragement, my friend🥋🙏🏼

It’s all good. Keep it up, you’ll go far! Who knows? Maybe I will ask you what you have learned from the Dao De Jing.
