“A soul is never sick alone.” -Martin Buber
“If you want to stop terrorism stop participating in it.” -Noam Chomsky.
Fair to say I am quite distracted from my filmmaking at the moment. My heart has been caving in since Maui. Intuition has abandoned me. The path to the 5th dimension is presently blocked by screaming children. What used to be a blissful creative playground is now a fiery hell realm inducing panic and heart palpitations. The Upside Down is a real place.
You already know what I am going to talk about in the remainder of this post. And if a bleeding heart rant isn’t your cup of tea for today scroll on. I am not pro Israel or Pro Palestine. I am pro peace and love, and I just want to make movies. But I simply cannot under these tumultuous political and financial conditions. So writing this pain out is the next best thing for me.
It is worth noting that my #1 favorite intellectual, Sam Harris has offered a very Pro-Israel verbal response to this conflict. Sam is half Jewish so he is obviously biased in defending his people. I will include his take at the end of this post as a counter weight to my mostly anti-Israel (So far as this conflict is concerned) rhetoric here.

The prevailing image in my mind from the Gaza atrocity is not the rockets snaking through the skies, or the Israeli hostage being pulled by her hair into a van. It is not the war-crime white phospherous plume raining over Gaza civilians, or the Palestinian ambulance driver collapsing to the pavement in despair. It is instead the lone bulldozer seen digging away at the border fence on mainstream news the day the conflict began. A BULLDOZER, a few inflatable rubber boats, and para-gliders and a few hundred half-dressed wild men streaking across the open desert like a volunteer stage production of Lawrence of Arabia. And they were able to inflict 6,000 Israeli casualties? Fuck off.
For those of you who don’t know what a paraglider is, it is little more than a go-cart strapped to a box fan dangling by a parachute – a tactical sitting duck that could be shot down by a child with a slingshot. Israel not only teaches its children the art of war, every Israeli adult is required to serve time in the military. Like a modern Sparta. The imposter nation to the region is also armed to the teeth with state-of-the-art weaponry and surveillance systems provided by The United States.

The “Iron Dome” is nicknamed as such because it is as impenetrable as it is sophisticated. And yet this rocket interceptor system you and I paid for with our taxes inexplicably failed to do the exact job it was designed for. *At first. And then Wa-La! It kicked on (Apparently only once the casualty quota was met?) Furthermore, the Israeli military was nowhere to be seen the day of the attack. It took 8, 12, 20 hours for Israeli combatants to reach the various attack sites. In the age of automatic weapons this was generations too late.
Chalk it up as yet another ‘everything-that-can-go-wrong-does-go-wrong’ catastrophe. Like Maui where the sirens inexplicably never sounded, the water for the firefighters was turned off, and the police accidentally barricaded all the roads out of the fire? Like 9 eleven where the first *3* steel skyscrapers in history to collapse due to fire did so, killing thousands trapped inside, including hundreds of firefighters. Never forget, a 3rd WTC Tower collapsed that day: Tower 7 – The 47 story steel skyscraper that collapsed perfectly in its own footprint but was not even struck by a plane. Curious isn’t it.
Or don’t chalk it up. Recognize it for the flagrant organized evil that it is. Recognize it as straight from the same chapter, same page of the establishment takeover playbook. Stoke minority radicalism, allow the radical group to attack a superpower and inflict X amount of casualties. Use the attack as an excuse to invade an entire region of the world? How many times are we going to let them get away with this deceitful tactic? How many times before the rest of the world decides they’ve had enough of our bullshit and nuke us into oblivion.
The mainstream media here in The U.S. is framing this conflict unequivocally in favor of Israel – one of our last remaining allies. Mainstream media cannot be trusted of course – Corporate ideological conglomerates of distraction, censorship, and war-mongering propaganda. Furthermore, at every NFL Football game this past Sunday fans were ordered to stand for a moment of silence to support Israel. No mention of Gaza in the instruction. Just Israel.
We’re in deep shit. That’s what I think. I think we all have blood on our hands. The money trail in all these conflicts leads back to us, and the rest of the world is coming to collect the debt. I feel like I’m living in Nazi Germany circa 1939. How do we stop the crazy train? How do we prevent WW3. Answer: Speak up. Don’t accept it as destiny. Rail against it with every fiber of your being. Condemn Israeli aggression in Gaza, despite what your government tells you. See that Israel could have, should have prevented this atrocity in the first place, but didn’t. See that Israel is the imposter in the region. They should not be there in the first place. Established in 1917 by England and The Rothchilds. They stole Palestinian land. Have been stealing more ever since. Completely unjustifiable, indefensible. The opposite of idealogical invincibility.
“One cannot be neutral on a moving train,” said People’s historian, Howard Zinn. Now is the time to speak up. This situation could still get a whole lot worse. The next presidential election is 1 year away and is symbolic of the choice every American must now make: Are we going to stand by idly and allow the global elites to send us all to war and plunge the whole world into chaos and hellfire suffering? Or are we going to rise up and chop the head off the corporate monster and take back our zombified nation. If Hamas is Gaza’s version of terrorism, ours is the billionaire defense contractors holding the world hostage.

A bulldozer… vs. a B2 stealth bomber. That is the sheer disparity in this Gaza conflict. An attack by a few hundred radicals. And 1.3 million people are punished as retribution. Bombed mercilessly, and ordered to evacuate their homes and flee to foreign countries with nothing but the clothes on their backs. How would that make you feel? An eye for an eye? This is an eye for, your whole family unalived. Not only immoral, but disproportionately cruel retaliation.
I am as sad for Palestine as I am Israel and my own countrymen – Every Palestinian child killed in this conflict represents a seed of a future violent martyr towards Israel and The United States. 700 so far and counting. 700 Karmic time bombs. Violence begets violence. Few things in life are more self evident. When you harm your neighbor you harm yourself. In this life or the next.
Life is hard enough. You get your heart broken and your dreams crushed. You work a difficult, dangerous job day after day. You look in the mirror as the wrinkles accumulate and your hair falls out. You lose your vitality, and the use of your legs. You get sick. You watch everyone you’ve ever loved diminish and die. And then you die. Suffering is built into the life experience. The fact that people add more to it by deliberately inflicting harm unto others is pure insanity. This aggression by our powerful military should be, and must be condemned. Lest we suffer the same fate as innocent Gaza civilians, punished collectively for the terrorist organizations we harbor among us. Ours are publicly traded.
Tears. Prayers. Courage.
E.F.
If you want a more Israel-friendly take on this subject that you may have not already heard, here is the afformentioned speech from Sam Harris on his Making Sense Podcast. Sam rose to popularity for his criticism of organized religion, including Islam and Christianity. One of his important points is that there are people on this earth who openly celebrate brutal killings, and cannot be reasoned with due to their fanaticism.

trying to articulate something on this but nothing succinct is emerging. nevertheless, I hope for peace.

First, thank you, mate, for letting your feelings run out and sharing your anger with us. I understand it truly.
All true, my dear friend, but as you said, I’m not in favour of this or the other; for me, the main point is that both sides only have hatred and dislike. Hamas’s children were also being trained with hatred and military training on the Palestinian side. Mullah’s regime also arms them; Biden had newly made the way six billion dollars free for this killer regime to free some hostages who were comfortable “arrested” in their houses! With this sum, Mullahs buy and send weapons to Gaza for Hamas. This will continue as long as the weapons industry wants to make money. The only chance is education! Society has to turn around and start everything from scratch.
Yesterday, a racket hit a hospital in Gaza; it was shot from Libanon by Islamic Jihad, showing how they don’t even have mercy on their own people!
This will not end so long the hatred grows in the heads of the people. The problem is much more complicated than we can imagine. Take care, buddy.

Good one. I’m with you. Educating myself on the history of the conflict and I started skeptical but bedazzled by the media that leans on Israeli side. I met a very nice girl in Finland who came there to study because her mom is Finnish but she grew up in Israel with her father. Later she moved back to finish her studies and be with her friends. I tried to contact her now but she disappeared from my social media contacts. From what I understand the average people were not connected with the reality of this ongoing conflict. It was not affecting their everyday life so they become apathetic to it. I feel there’s also a lot of propaganda going on there in a similar way as we’ve seen in Russia now and Serbia during the Balkan war. In this case the conflict is so old and in-bread into people on both sides they’ve become blind to what is really going on. Extremists on both sides are fueling the aggression and of course killing innocent civilians is always a sign of cowardice. Solution that Hamas will accept according to Palestinian doctor is two part state, but Israel is not giving out an inch. From a far looks like Russian/Ukrainian conflict where Russia is Israel. I feel they should select 10 leaders from each side and let them duke it out Hunger Games style. Show how brave they really are when there’s no missiles and civilian targets to hide behind!
