“I think we’re supposed to be building the theory that can realize that the ceiling of La Sagrada Familia is a portal. We’re supposed to inspire ourselves with beauty and luxury; we’re not supposed to consume it, to pig out for status reasons. We’re supposed to get ourselves into a state where we can dream at an interplanetary level.” -Eric Weinstein (Lifeboat Mathematician)
I’ll bet at least one of you has visited this Cathedral!? Located in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, La Sagrada Familia (Church of The Holy Family) is the largest unfinished Catholic in the world. It has been under construction since 1882! And still counting.
Now, for anybody interested in listening to a fantastic (10/10) podcast episode from this week, Modern Wisdom has you covered. Host, Chris Williamson interviews Mathematician, Eric Weinstein. I am paused at the halfway mark, savoring all 193 minutes.
They start with talking about meeting Jeffrey Epstein, the psychology of the ultra rich. Then UFO’s (UAPs), the epidemic of uncertainty, and our corrupt institutions. How the establishment seem to be flooding the news, the internet, airwaves, and all possible avenues with as much disinformation as possible to disorient, distract us – as propaganda.
The conversation then turns into physics, interplanetary travel, Einstein, and La Sagrada Familia, which has inspired both conversationalists greatly. And I paused right after the quote ^^ at timecode ~ 01:40:40. I don’t know what else remains, but I am inspired to hear more.

Yes I’ve visited the Cathedral on my high school trip at the very end before graduation. I can honestly say I could not appreciate it beyond the tourist location. I do remember being impressed by the size though.

In high school – that neat. Was it a Spanish class trip? Or graduation present sort of thing? I did not appreciate much in high school. Final year I had terrible acne and was miserable lol

I didn’t start learn Spanish until I moved to Uruguay at the end of 2011.
It was a class trip to celebrate end of high school.

Looks like a beautiful cathedral, even if unfinished. One day, if I’m ever in the neighborhood, I’ll visit it.

I’m still yet to visit, but it is on my to-do list. And like all great art, I’m often inspired to touch, I want to somehow get up to those columns in the bottom photo you have there and get my hands all over those textures. Hugely frowned upon I’m sure, so out of respect, I’ll just imagine doing so instead. 😁
