If I save up money I could afford a camera!
And if I buy a camera, I could start making movies.
And If I keep making movies, I will get better at making them.
And if I get better at making movies, I could make a great movie!
But If I make a great movie will anybody watch?
And if they watch, are they going to care?
And if they care, are they going to remember?
And if they do watch, and if they do care, and if they do remember,
Why do I care?
WHO AM I????

But if you never make a movie how will you know the answers? Once you have the answers you can make your next movie with more insight.

Very deep and philosophical. But may I advise you to “keep you attention on the here and now where it belongs……focus on the moment….trust your feelings and take that chance. Take it from a Jedi that puts his creations out into the wilderness…it takes courage but eventually your efforts will pay off and you will be noticed making you a greater film maker than I! Believe in the Force within you.

I take your advice to heart, FT. And I know it comes from a place of experience. I often get lost in the past and future. I really can’t be reminded enough to focus on the present moment. Thank you, my friend๐

Your filmmaking mental battle is deja vu for lots of writers (and any creative venture probably). Same conundrum, except for having to save money to buy equipment. Maybe going down different roads but always ending up asking the same questions. I think passion will eventually always trump indecision and lack of confidence. ๐ ๐ ๐
